It is not without reason that the agricultural production cooperativism is the largest and most significant of the country. It arose from the need of gathering of small and medium-sized farmers, who founded cooperatives, built silos and warehouses, acquired fleets to ship production and competed in markets on equal terms with large corporations in the industry.
Aurora follows the values of cooperation in everything it does. It provides support to cooperatives, which in turn support farmers. Therefore, since its foundation it has doubled the number of affiliated cooperatives. Today there are 11 member cooperatives representing more than one hundred thousand of families, and present in more than 500 cities.

PRINCIPLES FOR A LIFE TIME
It is natural for human-being to be helping and being supportive. These are gestures that begin at home, in the family, at school and extend to the whole society. The same applies to cooperatives. Cooperatives are based on the values of mutual assistance and responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of their founders, co-operative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and concern for mankind.
The guidelines of all cooperative actions are the way to put the theory into practice.
The principles are:
1. Voluntary and open membership;
2. Democratic management by members;
3. Economic participation of partners;
4. Autonomy and independence;
5. Education, training and information;
6. Mutual cooperation;
7. Community Interest.
